Srinagar, October 31 (KNO) : Paying tributes to the youth killed in Tral Pulwama, Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman, Syed Ali Geelani Wednesday said that blood-bath, death and destruction all around the valley is only because of Indian rulers, who very cunningly are still in denial mode. Strongly condemning the use of military power against the civilian people by the Indian occupation forces in Zaloora, Geelani in a statement issued to KNO said that on the pretext of search and cordon operations common people are deliberately targeted and victimized by the men in uniform. “In this grim situation the life of common people has became miserable and vulnerable at the hands of forces,” he said. Terming the ‘repressive measures’ of vandalizing the property of the common people and intimidating them on the basis of revulsion and detestation as ‘highly cowardice and deplorable’, Geelani affirmed that “none of the International laws pertaining to war does permit any such military action against unarmed civilians.” He said that “situation in the valley is worsening with each passing day and that Indian authorities rely on their military might to suppress people’s aspirations and muzzle voices.” Justifying the resentment from youth, Geelani said that “our youth are resisting to put an end to slavery and this barbarity. Unending curbs on political activities and continuous detention of resistance leadership has added to the already existing political uncertainty in state and as such our youth are quite disheartened with prevailing situation as peaceful activities are denied.” Geelani while referring to awful situation in detention centers and police lockups, said that “people particularly youth are subjected to third degree torture by police authorities.” Condemning Delhi for their unrealistic approach, Geelani said that continuous bloodshed in state and death of youngsters’ extreme painful. “We need peace,” said Geelani, adding that “however it is Delhi that is denying our right and creating hurdles.” Denouncing Delhi for their ‘obstinate approach’, Geelani said, “India can play a key role in bringing the peace in sub-continent, however bold measures are needed to resolve this pending issue.”The finest tribute one can pay to martyrs is to safeguard their exemplary investment of their precious blood, Chairman of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat (TeH), Mohammad Ashraf Sehraie said on Wednesday while paying tributes to the Tral militants namely Showkat Ahmad Khan and Abu Usman. Segraie in a statement issued to KNO said “those serving their nation sacrificing precious lives are beacon lights of our cherished movement.” He said that the nation will never budge from its stand and will carry their mission till its logical end. “The sacrifices rendered by these brave hearts are praise worthy and exemplary. These martyrs deserve our salute and we are indebted to their revered sacrifices and these sacrifices are valuable assets for our movement,” he said. “The prevailing political uncertainty and instability in Jammu and Kashmir is taking heavy tool over the precious human lives for which India is responsible as it is using military power to suppress the ongoing struggle by its brute force,” he said. Sehraie said “vandalizing properties, killing, maiming and brutalizing people with bullets and pallets all these suppressive measures won’t force to us submission and brake our resolve.” He said “India waged a brutal war against the unarmed and innocent Kashmiries to silence the demand of right to self-determination and it is the continuity of the very same statement with Indian army chief frequently reiterated in his statements.” Sehraie strongly condemned and expressed his concern over the fresh crackdown on youth and nocturnal raids by government forces in Kushipora Islamabad and ‘subjugating’ them to torture in police stations is ‘barbaric and shameful’, and added “these measures bound to have serious consequences.” Strongly condemning the forces assault on the media man Aijaz Ahmad Dar and pumping pellets on him, which left him seriously injured and stated that “the act was highly condemnable and shameful, even scribes not spared.” Meanwhile, expressing solidarity and sympathy with the bereaved family of Mohammad Yaseen Yatoo, Sehraie visited his home to condole to the sad demise of his grandmother, who passed away on yesterday. Sehraie termed the contribution of said family towards the freedom movement is exemplary and committed to the cause. He prayed for the deceased soul. He denounces slapping PSA on Bashir Ahmad Bhat of Mawar Kupwara and sending him to Kotbalwal Jammu and termed it ‘disgusting and barbaric’. “As govt. is hell bent to choke every pro-freedom political space and every voice across that raised in favour of liberation of Kashmir,” he said.
